RESOLUTION 20-3212 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A 2021-2025 <br />INTER -LOCAL VOLUNTARY COOPERATION OPERATIONAL <br />ASSISTANCE COMBINED MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE CITIES OF ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, <br />APOPKA, LAKE MARY, LONGWOOD, MAITLAND, OVIEDO, SANFORD, <br />WINTER PARK, WINTER SPRINGS, SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY, <br />THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON <br />BEHALF OF ITS POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into a 2021-2025 Inter -Local <br />Voluntary Cooperation Operational Assistance Combined Mutual Aid Agreement with the <br />Cities of Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Lake Mary, Longwood, Maitland, Oviedo, Sanford, <br />Winter Park, Winter Springs, Sanford Airport Authority, The University of Central Florida <br />Board of Trustees on behalf of its Police Department and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office <br />to extend mutual aid to provide law enforcement activities across jurisdictional lines in certain <br />defined circumstances for the purposes of preserving the lives and property of the citizens of <br />each participating jurisdiction. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />2021-2025 Inter -Local Voluntary Cooperation Operational Assistance Combined Mutual Aid <br />Agreement attached herein and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the <br />City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with <br />any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair <br />the validity, force, or effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
