CASSCLBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 14, 2021 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 13 of 15 <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Busch moved to adopt Resolution 21-3242, as presented. Motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 4-0. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />Anthony Sulvinski, (did not disclose street address) Kissimmee, advised their pronouns were <br />they/them and expressed concerns about the Tuesday afternoon protests at the corner of U.S. <br />Highway 17-92 and State Road 436 and urged the City Commission to take action to end these <br />protests which they felt were not expressions of free speech but hate based and violent. <br />Amber (did not provide last name or disclose street address), also expressed concerns about the <br />protests at the corner of U.S. Highway 17-92 and State Road 436 and asked the City <br />Commission to consider taking some sort of action. <br />Mr. Matthew Salavarria, 324 Georgetown Drive, agreed with the earlier statements regarding <br />the protests and also expressed concerns about the situation, including sharing that several acts <br />of violence had been directed at him personally in that area. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Assistant City Attorney Neysa Borkert gave a brief update on House Bill 337 which was recently signed <br />by the Governor and relates to impact fees. In response to a question from Mayor Henson, Ms. Borkert <br />advised she did not believe House Bill 403 relating to home-based businesses had been signed by the <br />Governor, but her firm would keep the City advised whenever they became aware of any movement on <br />that particular bill. <br />
