CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 9, 2014 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 16 <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy opened the public hearing relative to Ordinance 14-1407. No one came <br />forward. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance 14-1407. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adopt Ordinance 14-1407 on second and final <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. <br />Discussion: Commissioner Fry reiterated his comments from the first reading of the ordinance that he felt it <br />was a wise move for the community to share the tax burden amongst the business community as well as the <br />residents and the property holders of the City, which was the reason he was in favor of this minor increase. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />A. Board Appointment — Planning & Zoning Commission <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to appoint Raymond Wise to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission, to complete the unexpired term vacated by the resignation <br />of Michael Wadley, effective to January 31, 2016. Motion was seconded by Vice <br />Mayor Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Fry moved to appoint David Henson as the alternate to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, to complete the unexpired term vacated by <br />appointment of Raymond Wise as a regular member, effective to January 31, <br />2016. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried by <br />voice vote 4-1, Mayor Glancy dissenting. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. <br />Mr. Richard Henderson, 127 Mark David Boulevard, thanked Commissioner Aramendia for <br />his reference to the nation's fallen heroes during his invocation. He also thanked <br />Commissioners Solomon and Aramendia, Mr. Newlon and Mr. Gisclar for their assistance <br />with issues regarding lighting on the Summerset wall, and expressed appreciation to the <br />Commission as a whole for the assistance his neighborhood has had from the Commission on <br />past issues. <br />No one else came forward. <br />
