CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 12, 2014 — Regular Meeting <br />Page S of 22 <br />Introduction: Resolution 14-2608 approves Supplemental Agreement #8 to the Continuing Professional <br />Development Management Services Contract with Associated Consulting International, Inc. for <br />preconstruction oversight as well as construction implementation services in the amount of $23,415 and <br />authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />Budget Impact: The cost of the contract supplement is $23,415. Funding is available in the Community <br />Development Professional Services account #001-0210-515.31-00. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager recommended approval of Resolution 14-2608. <br />L. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Invasive Plant Management <br />Grant Application <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to submit a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation <br />Commission (FWC) Invasive Plant Management Grant Proposal to provide invasive plant treatments for City - <br />owned conservation areas. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. Because the proposed match will be from "in-kind" <br />staff contributions from existing staff, award of this grant will not add any additional financial burden to the <br />City. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval to submit the <br />FWC Invasive Plant Management Grant Proposal to the East Central Invasive Upland Plant Working Group <br />for consideration to prioritize and forward on to FWC. <br />M. Sole Source Purchase and Installation of a Wet Well Pump Station for the Forest <br />Brook Pump Station Rehabilitation Project and Related Budget Amendment #14-031 <br />Introduction: This item and related Budget Amendment #14-031 provides for consideration of the sole <br />source purchase of a pump station from Smith and Loveless in the amount of $29,673 and installation by their <br />only approved installer, Sanders Company, Inc. in the amount of $26,283 for the Forest Brook Pump Station <br />Rehabilitation project. The total cost is $55,956. <br />Budget Impact: Total funds of $55,956 are available in the Public Works Distribution and Collection <br />Machinery & Equipment account #401-0751-536.67-35. <br />BA #14-031 <br />Explanation of Request: This Budget Amendment re -appropriates funding to cover the costs associated with <br />the sole source purchase of wet well mounted pumps, suction and discharge pipes ($29,673) and the renovation <br />of the wet well and electrical service ($26,283) related to the Forrest Brook Pump Station Rehabilitation <br />project. Smith and Loveless is the sole manufacturer of the wet well mounted pumps and Sanders Company, <br />Inc. is the only authorized installer of this particular equipment.
