CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes of March 10, 2014 — Regular Meeting
Page 8 of 11
Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, expressed concerns that the Classification and
Compensation Study and the proposed adjustments to the pay grades did not address
employees receiving back pay for the past four years in which they did not receive raises.
Commissioner Aramendia returned to the Commission Chambers at 5:17 p.m.
2. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns about the effect any salary
adjustments made as a result of the Study would have on the budget, and did not feel
increases should be automatic if the Study is approved by the Commission.
MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution 14-2585, as presented.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried
unanimously by voice vote 5-0.
10. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES
No items were presented for consideration on this agenda.
11. PUBLIC HEARINGS
No items were presented for consideration on this agenda.
12. OTHER ITEMS
No items were scheduled on this agenda.
13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS
Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the
agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of
decorum.
Mr. Robert Elliott, IV, 538 Cascade Circle, Unit 104, stated he had been a resident of
Casselberry for 19 years and called attention to a letter he had previously sent to the City
Manager and the City Commission suggesting that the flyover bridge at Red Bug Lake Road
and State Road 436 be given a name which would help to call attention to the City of
Casselberry. He suggested that due to the way it curved it could be called something like
"Casselberry Curve".
