CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 24, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 14 <br />In response to a question from Commissioner Hufford, Ms. Hyson advised that currently there is one <br />building with approximately 23,000 square feet on the property which is divided into five tenant spaces; <br />however, the property owner has had difficulty in locating tenants for the property and she does not believe <br />any of the tenant spaces are currently occupied. She added that there is also one communication tower <br />located in the back corner of the property. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended adoption <br />of Ordinance 18-1495 on second reading. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />questions regarding Ordinance 18-1495. Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public participation. No one <br />came forward to address Ordinance 18-1495. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance <br />18-1495. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adopt Ordinance 18-1495 on second and <br />final reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />B. Second Reading of Ordinance 18-1496 — Amending the Official Zoning Map <br />Designation of the Property Located at 177 Anchor Road (ZB 18-05) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 18-1496 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN CHAPTER II, ARTICLE IV, <br />SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBLERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; AMENDING THE <br />ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM I (INDUSTRIAL) TO CS (COMMERCIAL SERVICE) FOR <br />THE PARCEL LOCATED AT 177 ANCHOR ROAD, CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS <br />DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 18-1496 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, September 13, 2018. <br />Staff Presentation: Planner I Christina Hyson gave an overview of Ordinance 18-1496 which amends the <br />Official Zoning Map designation from I (Industrial) to CS (Commercial Service) for the property located <br />at 177 Anchor Road. Notification was provided to the surrounding property owners within 500 feet and <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission, serving as the Local Planning Agency (LPA), voted unanimously at <br />its August 8, 2018 meeting to recommend approval of the amendment to the City Commission. The request <br />to amend the Official Zoning Map from I (Industrial) to CS (Commercial Service) for the subject property <br />is consistent with the City of Casselberry Comprehensive Plan and the proposed Commercial (C) Future <br />Land Use Map designation; compatible and consistent with the adjacent mix of land uses and zoning <br />
