Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported she had attended the meeting on Tuesday, September 18"' hosted by the City of <br />Winter Springs in its newly renovated Commission chambers. The program was on the Seminole County <br />Opioid and Heroin Task Force and was presented by Seminole County Health Officer Donna Walsh, Chief <br />Dan Purcell of the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, and Deputy Chief Matt Kinley of the Seminole <br />County Fire Department. Mayor Glancy shared some of the information and statistics from the <br />presentation. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />10. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Second Reading of Ordinance 18-1495 — Future Lane Use Map Amendment for the <br />Property Located at 177 Anchor Road (LPA 18-11) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 18-1495 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF THE <br />FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM INDUSTRIAL (I) TO COMMERCIAL (C) FOR <br />THE PARCEL LOCATED AT 177 ANCHOR ROAD, CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS <br />DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 18-1495 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, September 13, 2018, <br />Staff Presentation: Planner I Christina Hyson gave an overview of Ordinance 18-1495 which amends the <br />Future Land Use Map designation from Industrial (1) to Commercial (C) for the property located at 177 <br />Anchor Road. Notification was provided to the surrounding property owners within 500 feet, and the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, serving as the Local Planning Agency (LPA), voted unanimously at its <br />meeting on August 8, 2018.to recommend approval of the amendment to the City Commission. The request <br />to amend the Future Land Use Map from Industrial (1) to Commercial (C) for the subject property is <br />consistent with the City of Casselberry Comprehensive Plan; compatible and consistent with the adjacent <br />mix of land uses and zoning districts; and City services are available at the subject property and will not be <br />negatively impacted. A small modification was made to Ordinance 18-1495 since its approval on first <br />reading at the August 27, 2018 regular City Commission meeting to delete the parcel number from the <br />ordinance title. No other changes were made to the ordinance. <br />
