CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT Ms. Reischmann advised that an appeal of the Special Magistrate's decision on a code enforcement matter had been filed with the Circuit Court and such appeals were typically a long process, but she would keep the City Commission updated as it progressed. In response to questions from the Commissioners, Ms. Reischmann advised the appeal stemmed from a code enforcement case involving removal of a tree without a permit and the appellant's claim that she had been told she could do so. She added that the City Manager had advised that the City should not settle the matter at this point, as he did not wish to set a precedent that if an appeal is filed, the City will settle. 16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT No report. 17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: • Attended an event last week at which Deputy Bill Dunn was honored as a Hometown Hero for recuing a toddler who had been forgotten in a hot car, and saving her life by rushing her to the hospital. Added that Deputy Dunn had also recently been promoted to Sergeant. Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3 No report. Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: • Thanked Mr. Kreskey and Mr. Case for their willingness to serve on the Lakes Management Advisory Board. Vice Mayor Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 • Also thanked Mr. Kreskey and Mr. Case for volunteering to serve on the Lakes Management Advisory Board.
