CASSELSERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 12, 2021 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 15 <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />Mayor Henson reported he had recently attended an Orientation meeting via Zoom but had nothing <br />significant to report. <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report <br />Commissioner Aramendia reported that the City of Casselberry hosted the CALNO meeting on Wednesday, <br />April 7`I' and presentations had been given by Recreation Manager Linda Moore on the City's parks, <br />including the bond referendum and planned improvements, and by Habitat for Humanity of Seminole and <br />Greater Apopka CEO Penny Seater that focused mainly on sustainable housing. Each CALNO member <br />then reported on issues, projects, and events within their jurisdictions. He added that both Seminole Soil <br />and Water Conservation Group and the City of Winter Springs would be appointing new representatives, <br />as Soil and Water's representative was moving out of the area, and Winter Springs had just recently rejoined <br />the group. <br />D. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Henson reported that both Class 29 which included Vice Mayor Busch and Class 30 which included <br />him had completed their class projects. He stated both classes had teamed up to participate in the Seminole <br />Showdown, a charity wrestling event which was held Saturday, April 10' in a hangar at the <br />Orlando/Sanford International Airport. He added that the event was very well attended and had raised in <br />excess of $80,000 to benefit the Hope & Healing Center, a treatment clinic for people battling opioid <br />addiction, which is located in Sanford behind the courthouse. <br />E. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />No report. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />10. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br />A.
