Appointment of Seminole County School District Public Schools Facilities <br />Planning Committee Representative <br />Introduction: The appointment of a City representative to the Seminole County School District Public <br />Schools Facilities Planning Committee is requested. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended the appointment of a Commission <br />Member as the City's representative to the Seminole County School District Public Schools Facilities <br />Planning Committee (PSFPC). <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Commissioner Andrew Meadows <br />to serve as the City's representative to the Seminole County School District <br />Public Schools Facilities Planning Committee (PSFPC). Motion was seconded <br />by Vice Mayor Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />B. Appointment to the Seminole County Alliance <br />Introduction: Appointment of a City representative to the Seminole County Alliance is requested. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended appointment of a Commission <br />Member as the City's representative to the Seminole County Alliance. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint himself, Commissioner Anthony <br />Aramendia, to serve as the City's representative to the Seminole County <br />Alliance. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Busch. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />C. Discussion Regarding Possible Creation of a Community Forum <br />Introduction: At the City Commission meeting on January 25, 2021, Vice Mayor Busch requested that <br />discussion regarding possible creation of a community forum be placed on a future agenda. <br />Discussion: Discussion ensued regarding the feasibility and possibility of creating some type of <br />community forum and instituting a Citizens' Academy for the purpose of enhancing communication and <br />information exchanges between the City Commission and community members. It was suggested that the <br />community forum could be in the format of a "Coffee with a Commissioner" such as some other <br />communities were utilizing but would need to adhere to Florida Sunshine Law by alternating the <br />Commissioners' one-on-one contact with citizens rather than having two or more Commissioners <br />
