Community Redevelopment Agency Minutes <br />December 9, 2019 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Ms. Hanna stated that this item requires no action by the Board at this time. <br />Sixth Item of Business: Authorization and funding approval for the Lake Concord Park Parking Lot design. <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Development Services Manager, reviewed staffs memo dated December 9, 2019. Ms. <br />Hanna explained that staff pursued a scope of services for the expansion of the parking lot at Lake Concord Park. <br />She said CPH was selected through a continuing services contract. Ms. Hanna stated that the scope of work <br />includes surveying services and planning and design of the parking lot, which includes grading plans, site plans, <br />electrical and photometric drawings, landscape plan, irrigation plan and stormwater plan, associated with the <br />expansion. She said additionally the scope includes assistance with permitting, bidding assistance for construction of <br />the parking lot and limited construction administration/CEI services. Ms. Hanna requested the Board approve the <br />scope of services presented by CPH for $41,062.30 and authorize the funding for the parking lot design. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the material being used for the parking lot and the number of parking <br />spaces. <br />Ms. Glancy asked for a motion for authorization and funding of this item. Mr. Aramendia made a motion to <br />approve the scope of services presented by CPH, Inc., and authorize the funding of $41,062.30 for the parking lot <br />design. Mr. Busch seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Seventh Item of Business: Authorization to fund the purchase of a Fountain for Quail Pond. <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Development Services Manager, reviewed staffs memo dated December 9, 2019. Ms. <br />Hanna stated the City is requesting a financial commitment from the CRA for the installation of a single fountain in <br />Quail Pond adjacent to City Hall. She explained that it would be a 2 -tier floating fountain with LED changeable lights <br />similar to other fountains in the City. Ms. Hanna said staff requests the CRA authorize the funding of the installation <br />of the fountain at Quail Pond in the amount of $15,400. <br />After a brief discussion regarding the operation of the fountain lights, Ms. Glancy asked for a motion for <br />funding of the fountain. Mr. Busch made a motion that the CRA authorize the funds to purchase the fountain for <br />Quail Pond in the amount of $15,400 as presented. Mr. Aramendia seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br />
