Community Redevelopment Agency Minutes <br />December 9, 2019 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Eighth Item of Business: Authorization to fund the demo of 110 Quail Pond. <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Development Services Manager, reviewed staffs memo dated December 9, 2019. Ms. <br />Hanna said staff is requesting the CRA authorize the funding for the demolition of 110 Quail Pond. She said that <br />Zimmer Outdoor Solutions was the lowest bidder at $21,953. She said the quote includes demolition of the home, <br />remediation of asbestos, if found, removal of three (3) trees on the property and hydro seed where the foundation of <br />the home was located. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the Police Department using the home for training exercises before the <br />demolition, a cost savings to the project if no asbestos is found in the home and the removal of the trees on the <br />property. Ms. Glancy asked for a motion for funding the demolition of the home. Mr. Meadows made a motion to <br />approve the funding for the demolition of 110 Quail Pond in the amount not to exceed $21,953 with the added <br />approval of allowing Casselberry's Police Department to use the house as they see fit for training purposes before <br />demolition. Mr. Aramendia seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Ninth Item of Business: Other Business. <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Development Services Manager, explained that the Casselberry sign at Dog Track Road <br />and US Highway 17/92 is in need of some maintenance and that work would be completed in the next couple of <br />weeks. <br />Ms. Hanna stated that the Chan property has been rekeyed and the City has added that property for <br />landscape maintenance. A brief discussion ensued regarding the status for demolition of the Chan building. <br />Mr. Hufford stated that the SunTrust at Triplet Lake Drive and US Highway 17/92 opened last week. <br />Tenth Item of Business: Public Comments. <br />There were no public comments. <br />Eleventh Item of Business: Adjournment. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, Ms. Glancy adjourned the meeting at 4:25 p.m. <br />DATE MINUTES APPROVED BY COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY: -/--f' b ry4 d,q <br />Joni Di on, Secretary <br />
