Resolution 20-3205 — Public Safety Training omplex Agreement with Seminole <br />State College <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY AND SEMINOLE STATE COLLEGE FOR THE USE OF THEIR PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TRAINING COMPLEX; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 20-3205 provides for an agreement between the Casselberry Police Department <br />and Seminole State College for the use of their Public Safety Training Complex. <br />Budget Impact: The funds to pay for the use of the Seminole State College Public Safety Complex have <br />been allocated in the fiscal year 20-21 Law Enforcement/Training account #001-0610-521.55-00 in the <br />amount of $2,695. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Resolution 20-3205. <br />C. Budget Amendment #21-001 — Acceptance of Bureau of Justice Assistance Grant <br />2020 -DJ -BX -0407 <br />Introduction: Budget Amendment #21-001 is provided to recognize grant proceeds awarded by the Office <br />of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $10,325 to upgrade and enhance the <br />firearms training capabilities of the Police Department's officers and to support the integration of the new <br />National Incident Based Reporting System. <br />Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #21-001 will increase Small Tool and Minor Equipment <br />Account #001-0610-521.56-17 by $10,015; Small Tool and Minor Equipment NIBRS Reserve Account <br />#001-0610-521.56-02 by $310; and JAG Grant 2020 -DJ -X-0407 Account #001-0000-331.22-16 by <br />$10,325. <br />BA #21-001 <br />Explanation of Request: This Budget Amendment seeks City Commission approval to recognize the <br />Grant awarded by FY20 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $10,325. <br />Funding is provided for the purchase of various steel shooting targets, 3D silhouette targets, and related <br />training accessories and a required "set aside" of 3% to be used to provide items necessary for NIBRS <br />compliance with date submission requirements under the UCR program. <br />Account Number <br />Account Description <br />Amount <br />Increase: <br />001-0610-521.56-17 Sin Tool/Minor Equip JAG 2020 -DJ -BX -0407 $10,015 <br />001-0610-521.56-02 Sm Tool/Minor Equip NIBRS Reserve $ 310 <br />001-0000-331.22-16 JAG Grant 202 -DJ -BX -0407 $10,325 <br />
