Resolution 20-3197 — Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County for CARES Act <br />Funding <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL <br />AGREEMENT RELATING TO CARES ACT FUNDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY AND SEMINOLE COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 20-3197 provides for approval and authorization to execute an Interlocal <br />Agreement with Seminole County relating to CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security <br />Act) funding. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget at this time. A Budget Amendment will be brought <br />to City Commission to recognize the proceeds once funds are received. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of Resolution 20- <br />3197 authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Agreement with Seminole County for the CARES Act <br />funding. <br />E. Application for FY20 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program <br />Introduction: This request provides for submission of an application for funding through the FY 20 <br />Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget at this time. A budget amendment will be prepared <br />upon award of the grant funds. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to participate in the <br />Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program by applying for allocated grant funding in the <br />amount of $10,325. <br />F. Renewal of the City's Property and Casualty Insurance Services with Florida <br />Municipal Insurance Trust <br />Introduction: Renewal of the City's property and casualty insurance coverage with Florida Municipal <br />Insurance Trust (FMIT) in the amount of $605,141 provides property and casualty insurance services to the <br />City. <br />
