CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of July 27, 2020 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 15 <br />BA #20-048 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the purchase <br />of sound and presentation equipment for the City Commission Chambers in the amount of $67,588. <br />Account Number <br />Account Description <br />Amount <br />Increase: <br />001-0151-516.46-00 <br />Repairs & Maintenance <br />$ 8,661 <br />001-0110-511.67-35 <br />Equipment -Other <br />$58,927 <br />001-0000-389.90-00 <br />Other Non -Operating Source <br />$67,588 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended approval of the emergency <br />purchase of sound system and presentation equipment from BIS Digital, Inc. in the amount of $67,588.42 <br />and related Budget Amendment #20-048 to provide for the ability to have all boards resume meeting in the <br />City Commission Chambers with social distancing and necessary upgrades to communication media <br />technology (CMT). <br />Audience Participation: No one calve forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Rufford. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 5-0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Vice Mayor Hufford expressed concerns about resuming utility lock -offs on August 1St and suggested <br />postponing for another month to give more time for citizens see what further federal assistance may become <br />available or to seek assistance from other sources such as private organizations if they are experiencing <br />hardships. After a brief discussion, the Commission agreed by consensus that resumption of utility lock - <br />offs should be delayed until September 1St and Mr. Newlon stated he would advise staff of the Commission's <br />direction to delay. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />
