Approval of the Fiscal Year 2020 Neighborhood Grant Applications <br />Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon presented the Fiscal Year 2020 Neighborhood <br />Improvement Grant and the Neighborhood Beautification Grant applications for approval. <br />Discussion: A total of eight (8) applications were submitted. A review committee comprised of City staff <br />scored and ranked the eight (8) applications, of which seven (7) were for the Homeowner Improvement <br />Grant, and one (1) was for the Neighborhood Beautification Grant. All applications qualified for program <br />eligibility during initial committee screening. From their qualifications all eight (8) applicants were <br />recommended for funding. The total project cost is $13,781.52 for the collective eight (8) applications and <br />includes the following improvements: two (2) doors, one (1) exterior elevation painting, three (3) fences, <br />and five (5) paver/driveway replacement. <br />Budget Impact: Total cost of the approved applications is $13,781.52. Funds are available in the <br />Community Development Aids to Private Organizations Account #001-0210-515.82-00. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of the grant application recommendations provided by the review committee. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Commission regarding this item <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve the eight (8) grant applications <br />recommended by the review committee, as presented. Motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner Busch. <br />The City Clerk conducted a roll call vote as follows: <br />Commissioner Aramendia - Yes <br />Commissioner Meadows - Yes <br />Commissioner Busch - Yes <br />Vice Mayor Hufford - Yes <br />Mayor Glancy — Yes <br />Motion carried unanimously by roll call voice vote 5-0. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />
