CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 27, 2020 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 14 <br />and 1,352 votes against the bonds. <br />Discussion: The results of the City Bond Referendum Election were certified by the Seminole County <br />Canvassing Board on March 27, 2020. <br />Yes — For Bonds 2,866 votes (67.95%) <br />No — Against Bonds 1,352 votes (32.05%) <br />Budget Impact: This item has no budget impact. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended the City Commission confirm and <br />certify the results of the March 17, 2020 City Bond Referendum Election as presented. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. Resolution 20-3157 — Issuance of Ad Valorem Bonds for Parks Improvement <br />Projects <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 20-3157 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF NOT TO EXCEED AGGREGATE <br />PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $24,000,000 CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA GENERAL <br />OBLIGATION BONDS, IN ONE OR MORE SERIES; DIRECTING THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />PROCEEDS OF SUCH BONDS; AUTHORIZING OTHER REQUIRED ACTIONS; PROVIDING <br />FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon gave a brief overview of the steps leading to preparation <br />of Resolution 20-3157, after which City Attorney Katie Reischmann explained that the Resolution was not <br />intended to authorize the issuance of all $24,000,000 in bonds but detailed that issuance of the bonds would <br />
