CASSCLBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes of January 27, 2020 — Regular Meeting
Page 10 of 13
Lakes Management Advisory Board
The Lakes Management Advisory Board consists of seven members and there are currently two members
eligible for reappointment, Ms. Megan Johansson and Mr. Gary Robison. Both are eligible for appointment
to a first full term as both were filling unexpired terms from last year. Reappointment would be for two-
year terms effective through January 31, 2022.
MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to reappoint Megan Johansson and Gary
Robison, each for a first full term, to the Lakes Management Advisory Board,
effective to January 31, 2022. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford.
Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0.
Ms. Gardner advised there was one vacancy currently on the Lakes Management Advisory Board due to
Mr. Austin Lasure not seeking reappointment for a second term, and the four applicants who were eligible
for this appointment were Mr. John Boos, Mr. Rick McCarthy, Ms. June McLinden and Ms. Nancy Rudner,
all of whom listed the Lakes Management Advisory Board as their primary choice for appointment.
MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to appoint Nancy Rudner for a first full term to
the Lakes Management Advisory Board, effective to January 31, 2022.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously
by voice vote 5-0.
Ms. Gardner advised that normally the City Commission would be considering the ratification of the fifth
member to the Police Officers' & Firefighters' Pension Board of Trustees; however, that action had not yet
taken place as of this date. The Board's next meeting will be in February and if a fifth member is appointed
at that time, ratification of that member will be brought to the City Commission for consideration in March.
Ms. Gardner also advised that the Police member of the Board had changed due to the resignation of
William Nas, and the new member was now Thomas Graffy who was unopposed, so an election was not
necessary.
13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS
Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the
agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of
decorum. No one came forward.
14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
A. Procurement Approvals Information Report for the Period December 1 2019
through December 31, 2019
Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Approvals Information Report for the month of December 2019
was contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained
information about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period.
