Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported that the meeting was hosted by Seminole County on Tuesday October 15th, and a <br />presentation was given on concurrency and how development in the cities affects school capacity. It was <br />noted that Commissioner Hufford had been appointed to represent the City on the Seminole County District <br />Public Schools Facilities Planning Committee (PSFPC) which would be meeting in November, and the staff <br />level committee, Planning Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) was working towards updating the <br />Interlocal Agreements between the cities, the County and the School Board. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />10. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br />A. Ordinance 19-1527 — Amendment to add Hotels Motels and Transient Lodging <br />Standards (LPA 19-13) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 19-1527 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY <br />UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, CHAPTER II, DISTRICT AND GENERAL <br />REGULATIONS, ARTICLE VII, GENERAL REGULATIONS, ADDING SECTION 2-7.37, <br />HOTELS, MOTELS, AND TRANSIENT LODGING, TO ADD LODGING STANDARDS, AND <br />AMENDING CHAPTER V, GLOSSARY, ARTICLE XXI, LANGUAGE AND DEFINITIONS <br />SECTION 5-21.2, DEFINITION OF TERMS, ADDING AND AMENDING DEFINITIONS FOR <br />LODGING TYPES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Community Development Director Chris Bowley stated that Ordinance 19-1527 <br />provides for an amendment to the City of Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations to add <br />Hotels, Motels, and Transient Lodging Standards (LPA 19-13). The Planning and Zoning Commission, <br />serving as the City's Local Planning Agency, voted unanimously at its October 9, 2019 meeting to <br />recommend approval of Ordinance 19-1527 to the City Commission. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of ordinance 19-1527 on first reading. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Ordinance 19-1527. <br />
