CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 28, 2019 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of ll <br />Budget Impact: There will be several accounts in the General Fund that will be affected by this proposal. <br />Though the appropriated budget is not proposed to formally change, the budget impact is estimated to favor <br />a spending reduction overall of $44,015. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to reorganize the <br />Police Department to add a Deputy Chief position, eliminate the two (2) Commander positions and to add <br />a Police Corporal position. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />City Manager Randy Newlon requested that Items D & E be removed from consideration as part of the <br />Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the Consent Agenda as <br />amended by removing Item 7.1). Budget Amendment #20-010 — Funding For <br />Quail Pond Fountain and Item 7.E. Budget Amendment #10-011 — Purchase <br />of Property for Lake Concord Park Expansion. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Hufford suggested that the City should have a written policy regarding procedures for <br />notification to the public about cancellation of events, considering the concerns that had been expressed <br />about the cancellation due to inclement weather of the Halloween Spooktoberfest event scheduled in Lake <br />Concord Park on October 261". Mr. Newlon agreed that it would important to have something in writing <br />and advised he would work with staff to develop some procedures and bring a report to the City Commission <br />at an upcoming meeting. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />No report. <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report <br />No report. <br />D. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />No report. <br />
