Audience Participation: No one came forward to address this item. MOTION: Commissioner Meadows moved to approve award of Bid ITB -2019-0534 to and execution of a Construction Agreement with a value of $1,528,130 for the Water Reclamation Facility Improvements Project with McMahan Construction Company, Inc. and approval of related Budget Amendment #20-008. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. B. Approval of Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Adopt -a -Tree Program Applications Staff Presentation: Economic Development Planner Dean Fathelbab presented the twelve (12) applications recommended through the Casselberry Tree Advisory Committee (CTAC) to receive funding for the planting of new trees under the Adopt -a -Tree Program for Fiscal year 2019 for consideration and approval by the City Commission. Discussion: Discussion ensued regarding the Adopt -A -Tree Program which included how the program is promoted and how the current applicants were made aware of the program; the types of trees which were provided through the program; methods used for cleanup of dropped leaves, including responsibilities of the residents and the City's street -sweeping program; responsibility of the homeowner for maintenance of the tree and options for replacing trees that do not survive; agreement provision for recouping of City's costs for tree purchase and installation in the event a tree is not cared for properly by the resident; average cost of trees provided through the program; feasibility of partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation for assistance with providing trees for the program; and how the program is geared towards maintaining and improving the City's tree canopy.
