efforts are creating the desired change throughout the City. National chains are pursuing placement of <br />their businesses within the City limits. The City is working to develop a significant area along one of the <br />main thoroughfares, which will be a visual demonstration of the change that the City Commissioners <br />have encouraged through the establishment of the Five Year Goals and Objectives. <br />Fiscal Year 2014-15 Goals and Objectives <br />Goal #1: Safety <br />Objective 1: Provide effective and efficient police service in a responsive manner to the problems, <br />issues, and concerns of the community. <br />Objective 2: Maintain proactive enforcement methods and procedures that promote, first and foremost, <br />crime prevention and traffic safety; and in the event of altercations and incidences, <br />thorough investigations leading to apprehension of suspected offenders. <br />Objective 3: Maintain existing fire -rescue service response levels and quality within the community. <br />Objective 4: Maintain proactive efforts to prevent and mitigate fire incidences throughout the City. <br />Objective 5: Maintain advanced life support (ALS) transport emergency medical services (EMS) at <br />existing level and quality. <br />Objective 6: Maintain safe work environments that facilitate high employee performance without <br />injuries, property damage or lost time due to accidents. <br />Objective 7: Maintain the facilities and properties of the City in a manner that prevents injuries to <br />citizens or guests. <br />Goal #2: Efficient and Effective Government Operations <br />Objective 1: Increase the efficiency of government by providing the same level of services for the <br />citizens of Casselberry at a controlled millage rate for Fiscal Year 2015. <br />Objective 2: Continue to improve the general image of the City through a proactive media strategy that <br />defines and distributes a consistent and positive message while promoting the defined <br />vision and major advances achieved. <br />Objective 3: Ensure that the City retains a highly regarded financial reputation by continuing to secure <br />"clean" audit opinions and national governmental accounting awards for excellence in <br />budgeting and financial reporting. <br />Objective 4: Evolve the City's intergovernmental coordination strategies with adjoining city <br />governments and especially Seminole County to further advance the City's strategic goals <br />and objectives including annexation, community enhancements, economic development <br />and government efficiency. <br />Objective 5: Provide accurate, timely and appropriate financial and budget information to City elected <br />and administrative officials, staff, the citizens and the media. <br />Objective 6: Continue integration of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (One Solution) for <br />Finance, Payroll and Human Resources. <br />Page 5
