Objective 7: Ensure that proper procurement of all goods and services follow "best practice" policies <br />and procedures as mandated by State statute and City policy. <br />Objective 8: Improve the efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of the City records management <br />program through improved record inventory control and improved public information <br />services. <br />Objective 9: Ensure the City workplace and workforce meet legal compliance, including the <br />development, implementation and administration of effective and compliant employment <br />policies and the prevention of discrimination and harassment. <br />Goal #3: A Strong Local Economy <br />Objective 1: Continue plans to develop City -owned properties surrounding City Hall. <br />Objective 2: Continue to define and promote a Casselberry "brand" for local, regional, and statewide <br />exposure through the hosting of major events, and proactive placement of positive stories <br />using traditional as well as evolving digital media sources. <br />Objective 3: Continue to market and promote the City's Idea Business Park on North Winter Park <br />Drive. <br />Objective 4: Continue to explore opportunities to create voluntary annexations of properties into the <br />City. <br />Objective 5: Continue to offer cultural opportunities and events at Lake Concord Park and other City <br />facilities that meet the residents' needs and build the City's brand as a progressive and <br />attractive community in which to live. <br />Goal #4: Sustainable & Livable Neighborhoods <br />Objective 1: Initiate an evaluation of the City's neighborhood amenities, including parks and lakes, for <br />enhancement possibilities that could improve and create new value. <br />Objective 2: Work toward accomplishing the selected goals recommended by the Housing Task Force, <br />including joint partnership with other agencies, in redeveloping defined areas of the City. <br />Objective 3: Continue the City's proactive approach to Code Compliance focusing on the abatement of <br />major code violations and implementation of the City's property maintenance code. <br />Objective 4: Continue to implement lake management and stormwater/water quality improvement <br />projects and programs to promote awareness and protection of the City's natural <br />resources. <br />Objective 5: Continue the maintenance, safety and enhancement of existing parks. <br />Objective 6: Implement Street Light fees as a result of the study. <br />Objective 7: Continue to seek to preserve the golf course. <br />Page 6
