Ordinance 19-1513 — Amending the Future Land Use Designation for Property <br />Located at the Southwest Corner of Live Oaks Boulevard and South U.S. Hi lg lway <br />17-92 (LPA 19-07) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 19-1513 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF THE <br />FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM HIGH INTENSITY NON- <br />RESIDENTIAL/MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MAJOR THOROUGHFARE MIXED- <br />USE FOR APPROXIMATELY 0.921 -ACRES GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF LIVE OAKS BOULEVARD AND SOUTH U.S. HIGHWAY 17-92, AS <br />DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Planner I Christina Hyson stated that Ordinance 19-1513 amends the Future Land Use <br />Map (FLUM) designation from High Intensity Non-Residential/Medium Density Residential (HINR/MDR) <br />to Major Thoroughfare Mixed -Use (MTMU) for approximately 0.92 acres of an approximately 6.62 -acre <br />parent tract, generally located at the southwest corner of Live Oaks Boulevard and South U.S. Highway 17- <br />92. The proposed amendment will result in a uniform Future Land Use designation across the entire unified <br />parent tract. Written notices of this land use application were posted on the subject property on April 17, <br />2019. The Planning and Zoning Commission, serving as the Local Planning Agency (LPA), voted <br />unanimously at its May 8, 2019 meeting to recommend approval of the amendment to the City Commission. <br />The request to amend the Future Land Use Map from High Intensity Non-Residential/Medium Density <br />Residential to Major Thoroughfare Mixed -Use for the subject property is: consistent with the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan; compatible with the surrounding mix of land uses and zoning districts; and City water <br />and sanitary sewer services are available to the subject property. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Ordinance 19-1513 on first reading. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Ordinance 19-1513 <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve Ordinance 19-1513 on first <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />C. Ordinance 19-1514 — Amending the Official Zoning Designation for Property <br />Generally Located at the Southeast Corner of Oxford Road and State Road 436 (ZB <br />19-04) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 19-1514 by title, as follows: <br />
