CASSELBCRRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of February 11, 2019 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 17 <br />Budget Impact: A total of $129,684 will be the total cost for a 5 -year period. Funds have been budgeted <br />for FY 2019 and are available in the Water & Sewer System Fund/Finance Customer Service/Contractual <br />Services account #401-0133-513.34-00 in the amount of $25,140 for year one (1) of the agreement. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of the agreement <br />with Selectron Technologies, Inc. in the total amount of $129,684. <br />Excuse Absence of Commissioner Andrew Meadows <br />Introduction: Commissioner Andrew Meadows has advised that he will be out of town and unable to <br />attend the February 11, 2019 Regular City Commission meeting. He has respectfully requested that his <br />Excuse of Absence be placed on the Consent Agenda for consideration. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Busch moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Hufford expressed concerns that the City did not currently have a requirement in the Code <br />for permitting the removal of trees on single family residential properties. After some clarification of the <br />Code by staff and a brief discussion and input by the City Commission, staff was directed to research the <br />issue, including types of trees needed to provide the desired canopy, and to present their findings, which <br />could then determine whether or not to recommend that a change to the current Code. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported the group had met on Thursday, February 7"', but there had been nothing on the <br />agenda which specifically affected the City of Casselberry. <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report <br />Vice Mayor Aramendia reported that the meeting on February 6"' had been hosted by the Seminole Soil and <br />Water Conservation District and the presentation focused on the United States Department of Agriculture <br />(USDA) grants which had been used by the Cities of Casselberry, Altamonte Springs and Winter Springs <br />to assist with Hurricane Irma recovery efforts, after which each of the member agencies shared information <br />about current and upcoming projects in their jurisdictions. <br />
