CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 22, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of 16 <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns about complaints he <br />had heard from residents relating to parking along Ballpark Road for the use of Sunnytown <br />Park, and made some suggestions for possible solutions to the parking issues in that area. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Approvals Information Report for the Period September 1 2018 <br />through September 30, 2018 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Approvals Information Report for the month of September 2018 <br />was contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained <br />information about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />Advised that the Casselberry Police Department had deployed one officer and would possibly <br />be sending more to support relief efforts in the Florida Panhandle due to damage caused by <br />Hurricane Michael and asked for City Commission support of continued participation in those <br />relief efforts. The City Commission as a whole expressed support for the City doing what it <br />could to support the relief efforts, whether or not any future reimbursement from FEMA <br />(Federal Emergency Management Agency) would be received. <br />Reminded everyone of the upcoming Craft Beers and Blues Festival in Lake Concord Park on <br />Friday, November 9' which would be held in conjunction with the City's regular Art & Music <br />in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar event. <br />Advised that the next regular City Commission meeting would be held on Monday, November <br />19`' and there would most likely be a Special Meeting in advance of the regular meeting on the <br />same date. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />Ms. Gardner reported that there would be a Special Meeting on Monday, November 19"' at 5:00 p.m., <br />followed by the Regular City Commission Meeting at 6:00 p.m. She added that the Special Meeting would <br />be for the purpose of presenting a resolution to outgoing Commissioner Solomon, and the swearing-in of <br />the newly -elected City Commissioner. In response to questions, she and Mr. Newlon clarified that the <br />Special Meeting was being scheduled at 5:00 p.m. to accommodate family members of Commissioner <br />Solomon and the new City Commissioner who may wish to attend. <br />
