CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Reported he had attended the October Country Jam on October 12`I' and the iLLuminART event <br />on October 20`I', and both had been great events which were very successful. He thanked all <br />staff members who had worked to make these events happen. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />• Advised that tonight's meeting would be her last official meeting after 1.2 years of serving the <br />residents of the City of Casselberry, and that she had just sold her home after 47 years as a <br />resident of Casselberry. She stated it had been a great experience working with the City <br />Commission and City staff and serving the residents of the City and she was looking forward <br />to starting a new chapter in her life. <br />Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />• Reiterated his support for the City's assistance in the relief efforts in the Panhandle. <br />• Reported he had attended the ILLuminART event on October 20`I' and enjoyed the event very <br />much, stating he felt it was a unique event and the art was getting more creative with each year. <br />He added that he especially enjoyed the performance by the Metropolitan Area Youth <br />Symphony, and urged everyone to take the opportunity to attend the event next year. <br />Vice Mayor Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />Agreed with Commissioner Hufford's comments that the City should offer any assistance <br />possible to the relief efforts in the Panhandle, regardless of whether any reimbursement would <br />ever be received. <br />Expressed appreciation to staff for pursuing the ordinance about utility bill adjustments, stating <br />that he always appreciated when the City empowered front-line staff to be able to better assist <br />the citizens with issues such as the utility billing adjustments, and that he felt the proposed <br />ordinance was a definite improvement to the City's current policies. <br />Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />Also added her agreement to the comments from Commissioner Hufford and Vice Mayor <br />Meadows regarding providing assistance to the Panhandle, and commended the Police <br />Department on having already begun participation in the relief efforts. <br />Reported she had attended the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce's Meet the <br />Mayors event on Thursday, October 18` and shared some highlights of the discussions and <br />information presented at the event. <br />
