CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 22, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 11 of 16 <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 18-3065 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING AND <br />CONFIRMING LEGISLATION IN PROGRESS REGARDING THE OXFORD ROAD LONG <br />RANGE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AND AMENDMENTS TO THE COMMUNITY <br />REDEVELOPMENT AREA AND COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; PROVIDING <br />FOR LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS; RECOGNIZING LEGISLATION IN PROGRESS; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Community Development Director Chris Bowley gave an overview of Resolution 18- <br />3065, the purpose of which is to provide notice that the City of Casselberry is developing an ordinance for <br />current and consistent legislation for the Community Redevelopment Area, the Community Redevelopment <br />District, the Comprehensive Plan, and the Unified Land Development Regulations pertaining to the Long <br />Range Development Plan for the Oxford Road corridor and the respective district boundaries, as well as to <br />inform all interested parties that all applications will be subject to the amendments that are legislation in <br />progress. In response to questions from the City Commission, Mr. Bowley explained that there was not yet <br />an estimated time frame established for the development of the ordinance and the updated CRA boundaries; <br />however, staff would begin the process immediately upon approval of the Resolution and would work <br />diligently to accomplish those goals as soon as possible. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Resolution 18-3065. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Commission regarding Resolution 18-3065. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution 18-3065, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />10. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br />A. Ordinance 18-1498 — Voluntary Annexation of Property Located on Lake Howell <br />Road <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 18-1498 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO <br />VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION; MAKING FINDINGS; ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING <br />WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, CERTAIN <br />LANDS GENERALLY LOCATED IN SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 21 SOUTH, RANGE 30 EAST <br />ON LAKE HOWELL ROAD; REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR THE INTERIM PROVISION OF LAND <br />DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS; PROVIDING THAT EFFECTIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />
