CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 8, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 15 <br />- CALNO members acknowledged the long-time service and of Lake Mary Commissioner Gary <br />Brender, who unfortunately was unable to attend the meeting. The group will be making a <br />presentation to him recognizing and thanking him for his participation in CALNO since 1994 <br />at a later meeting. <br />- The next CALNO meeting will be hosted by the Seminole County Board of County <br />Commissioners in December, and the tentative location for the meeting is the Central Florida <br />Zoo & Botanical Gardens. <br />D. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Glancy advised she did not have a Board report, but encouraged current class member Commissioner <br />Hufford to share his experiences. Commissioner Hufford shared that the most recent class outing had been <br />to Seminole County Human Services, and he had been very impressed with the number of non-profit <br />organizations that partner with the County to provide services to the residents, including employment <br />counseling, assistance in domestic dispute situations, and mental health issues. Mayor Glancy added that <br />the Government Day class sessions had received high ratings. <br />E. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />No report. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />10. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br />A. Ordinance 18-1487 — Amending City Code Chapter 86 Utilities Article III Water <br />Division 4, Meters, Section 86-224 Installation and Repair <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 18-1487 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 86- <br />224, INSTALLATION AND REPAIR OF DIVISION 4, METERS, ARTICLE III, WATER, <br />CHAPTER 86, UTILITIES, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, TO PROVIDE FLEXIBILITY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF METERS AT <br />COMMERCIAL BUSINESSES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Assistant Public Works Director/Utilities Manager Tara Lamoureux gave an overview <br />of Ordinance 18-1487 which amends City Code Chapter 86, Utilities, Article III, Water, Division 4, Meters, <br />Section 86-224 Installation and Repair to provide flexibility for the installation of meters at commercial <br />
