CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 27, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 18 <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. <br />Discussion: Vice Mayor Meadows requested that Item L, Award of Contracts for Continuing Professional <br />Services for Park Planning and Design Projects and Item N, Budget Amendment #18-055 — Seminola <br />Master Lift Station Emergency Pump Purchase be removed from the Consent Agenda for separate <br />consideration and discussion. <br />Commissioner Solomon withdrew the motion. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Meadows moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as amended by <br />removing Item L, Award of Contracts for Continuing Professional Services <br />for Park Planning and Design Projects and Item N, Budget Amendment #18- <br />055 — Seminola Master Lift Station Emergency Pump Purchase for separate <br />discussion and consideration. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />L. Award of Contracts for Continuing Professional Services for Park Planning and <br />Desi n Projects. <br />Introduction: Consideration to award four (4) contracts for continuing professional services, pursuant to <br />SOQ-2018-0353, for Park Planning and Design projects on a task authorization basis not to exceed <br />$500,000 per contract for the period beginning August 27, 2018 through August 26, 2023 to the following <br />firms is requested: <br />- CPH, Inc. (CPH) <br />- GAI Consultants, Inc. (GAI) <br />- SK Consortium, Inc. (SK) <br />- Stantec Architecture Inc. (Stantec) <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget at this time. Various operating and/or capital <br />accounts in Public Works and other City Departments/Divisions may be used for future Task Authorizations <br />under these contracts, subject to available budgets. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval to award <br />four separate contracts for continuing professional services for park planning and design projects on a task <br />authorization basis to: (1) CPH, Inc.; (2) GAI Consultants, Inc.; (3) SK Consortium, Inc.; and (4) Stantec <br />Architecture Inc. at an amount not to exceed $500,000 per contract. <br />Discussion: In response to questions from Vice Mayor Meadows, Mr. Newlon clarified that selection of <br />the architectural firms was the next step in the process of determining the feasibility and more accurately <br />estimating the cost of improvements to the seven parks identified by the City Commission at earlier <br />workshops and meetings as those that may be included in a possible bond referendum to be put to the voters <br />for funding of the improvements. He added that once the firms were selected, he envisioned tasks could be <br />
