Application for a Target Community Engagement Grant — FY 18 Heroes and Helpers Program Introduction: Consideration to apply for a grant award in the amount of $1,000 through the Target Community Engagement Grant, FY 18 Heroes and Helpers Program for use by the City of Casselberry for the first annual "Holiday with our Heroes" event where an eligible child will be paired with a Casselberry Police Officer to shop for holiday gifts is requested. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to apply for the Target Community Engagement Grant for FY 18 Heroes and Helpers Program award in the amount of $1,000. P. Excuse Absence of Commissioner Bill Hufford Introduction: Commissioner Bill Hufford has advised that he will be unable to attend the August 27, 2018 Regular City Commission meeting due to illness. He has respectfully requested that his Excuse of Absence be placed on the Consent Agenda for consideration.
