CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 27, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 18 <br />assigned and work ordered by October or November, and it was possible the work could be done and <br />brought back to the City Commission for consideration within a year from that point. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to award four separate contracts for <br />continuing professional services for park planning and design projects on a <br />task authorization basis to: (1) CPH, Inc.; (2) GAI Consultants, Inc.; (3) SK <br />Consortium, Inc.; and (4) Stantec Architecture Inc. at an amount not to <br />exceed $500,000 per contract, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice <br />Mayor Meadows. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />N. Budget Amendment #18-053 — Seminola Master Lift Station Emergency <br />Pump Purchase <br />Introduction: Budget Amendment #18-053 provides funding in the amount of $20,372.40 for the <br />emergency purchase of a pump for the Seminola Master Lift Station. <br />Budget Impact: The purchase of a replacement pump at this cost qualifies as a capital purchase and <br />requires that a budget be established. Approval of Budget Amendment #18-053 will increase the Water <br />and Sewer Fund Lift Stations Division Equipment Other Account #401-0752-535.67-345 in the amount of <br />$20,372.40 and decrease the Water and Sewer Fund Lift Stations Division Repair and Maintenance <br />Emergency Account #401-752-535.46-05 in the amount of $20,372.40. <br />BA #18-053 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for an emergency <br />purchase of a 25 -horsepower pump from Xylem Water Solutions, USA, in the amount of $20,373, for the <br />Seminola Master Lift Station project. <br />Account Number Account Description Amount <br />Increase: <br />401-0752-535.67-35 Equipment Other $20,373 <br />Decrease: <br />401-0752-535.46-05 Repair & Maintenance/Emergency $20,373 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Budget <br />Amendment #18-053. <br />Discussion: In response to a question from Vice Mayor Meadows, Mr. Newlon confirmed that this pump <br />was being purchased to replace a failed pump at the existing lift station but would be moved to the new, <br />larger lift station, which is currently in the planning stages. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve Budget Amendment #18-053, as <br />presented.
