CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of July 23, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 17 of 19 <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the tentative <br />millage rate of 3.0519 mills for FY 2018-2019. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />B. Board Appointments — Lakes Management Advisory Board <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Mr. Anthony Tizzio and Ms. <br />Megan Johannson to the Lakes Management Advisory Board, both filling <br />unexpired terms effective until January 31, 2020. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, expressed concerns about a Notice of Code <br />Violation he had received for overgrown grass and explained there were multiple reasons, <br />including rainy weather, mechanical issues and health issues. He suggested the Notices posted <br />on residents' doors should include a provision for requesting an extension in event of those <br />types of issues. <br />Mr. Richard Henderson, 127 Mark David Boulevard, voiced concerns about the holes in the <br />Summerset wall and delays in the City's procuring of a contractor to make the repairs. He also <br />suggested that part of the problem of drivers hitting and causing damage to the wall might be <br />eliminated if the City would consider putting a No U -Turn sign at the intersection of Mark <br />David Boulevard and Red Bug Lake Road. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Approvals Information Report for the Period June 1 2018 through <br />June 30, 2018 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Approvals Information Report for the month of June 2018 was <br />contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information <br />about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />Reminded the Commissioners that he would be leaving for a two-week vacation on July <br />24th and that Public Works Director Mark Gisclar would be serving as Acting City <br />Manager in his absence. <br />
