OTHER ITEMS <br />A. Standard Construction Agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corp for the <br />Award of Construction of the Casselton Drive Improvements Project and Related <br />Budget Amendment #18-040 <br />Staff Presentation: Deputy Public Works Director/City Engineer Kelly Brock gave an overview of this <br />item which requests approval of a Standard Construction Agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corp <br />for the award of construction of the Casselton Drive Improvements Project in an amount not to exceed <br />$3,069,323.64. Approval of related Budget Amendment #18-040 is also requested. (Ref: ITB -2018-0341) <br />Budget Impact: Budget Amendment #18-040 increases the Infrastructure Surtax Fund Other Non - <br />Operating Sources account #114-0000-389.90-00 and Infrastructure account 3114-0710-541.63-40, each in <br />the amount of $577,583. <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for costs <br />associated with an agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corp ($3,069,324) to construct the Casselton <br />Drive Improvements Project. An additional 5% contingency ($153,466) is also being requested to cover <br />unanticipated construction costs, bringing the total construction budget to $3,222,790. The Public Works <br />Department budgeted $2,645,207 in the FY 2018 budget (including $62,821 from the Tree Fund) for this <br />work; therefore, an additional $577,583 is needed. <br />
