MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve Resolution 18-3041-A and related Budget Amendment 18-042, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. Standard Construction Agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corp for the Award of Construction of the Casselton Drive Improvements Project and Related Budget Amendment #18-040 Staff Presentation: Deputy Public Works Director/City Engineer Kelly Brock gave an overview of this item which requests approval of a Standard Construction Agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corp for the award of construction of the Casselton Drive Improvements Project in an amount not to exceed $3,069,323.64. Approval of related Budget Amendment #18-040 is also requested. (Ref: ITB -2018-0341) Budget Impact: Budget Amendment #18-040 increases the Infrastructure Surtax Fund Other Non - Operating Sources account #114-0000-389.90-00 and Infrastructure account 3114-0710-541.63-40, each in the amount of $577,583. Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for costs associated with an agreement with Atlantic Civil Constructors Corp ($3,069,324) to construct the Casselton Drive Improvements Project. An additional 5% contingency ($153,466) is also being requested to cover unanticipated construction costs, bringing the total construction budget to $3,222,790. The Public Works Department budgeted $2,645,207 in the FY 2018 budget (including $62,821 from the Tree Fund) for this work; therefore, an additional $577,583 is needed.
