Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report <br />Commissioner Aramendia reported the following from the meeting held in Lake Mary on May 2nd: <br />— Presentation was given by Seminole County Emergency Manager Alan Harris regarding public <br />safety and hurricane preparedness; <br />— Concerns were expressed by Member Lee Constantine regarding rural boundaries and the <br />proposed development of approximately 700 acres on the east side of Seminole County and the <br />potential impact on the surrounding cities; <br />— Lake Mary reported on its new $275 million Griffin Park development; <br />— Seminole State College announced that Georgina Lorenzo had been appointed as the new <br />college President; <br />— CALNO officers for the new year were selected: Chair — Anthony Aramendia (Casselberry), <br />Vice -Chair — Sarah Reece (Altamonte Springs), and Treasurer — Keith Britton (Oviedo); <br />— Voted to reinstate membership for the City of Longwood and discussed plans to reach out to <br />Seminole County School Board about possible reinstatement. <br />D.
