CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT No report. 16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT • Announced that in accordance with Casselberry City Charter Section 7.06, the qualifying period for candidates for City Commission Seats 1, 2 and 3 would be held from 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 through 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 during regular business hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. She noted that City Hall would be open on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. for election qualifying purposes only. 17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: EarthFest on Saturday, April 28f' was a great success and very well attended with the only complaints being about parking issues. Wine on Nine golf event on May 5" was also successful and was a great opportunity to show off the City's meandering golf course. Central Florida Top Brewer event sponsored by Friends of the Park will be held in Lake Concord Park on Saturday, May 19` from 1-5 p.m. Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: • Thanked everyone who works so hard to organize the City's great events. • Was pleasantly surprised about the beautiful mural along State Road 436 in the area of the IHOP restaurant. • Asked for clarification about parking on the street in residential areas and was advised by Mr. Newlon that it would be a law enforcement question depending on where the vehicles were parked. He gave a few examples, but advised that Police Department Command staff would be the best to clarify should she or any resident have a question about whether something was or was not allowed. • Thanked Code Enforcement staff for meeting with the local homeowners' associations to provide information and keep communication open.
