CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />• Announced that in accordance with Casselberry City Charter Section 7.06, the qualifying <br />period for candidates for City Commission Seats 1, 2 and 3 would be held from 12:00 p.m. <br />Monday, May 21, 2018 through 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 during regular business hours <br />from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. She noted that City Hall would be open on Friday, May 25, 2018 <br />from 7:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. for election qualifying purposes only. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />EarthFest on Saturday, April 28f' was a great success and very well attended with the only <br />complaints being about parking issues. <br />Wine on Nine golf event on May 5" was also successful and was a great opportunity to show <br />off the City's meandering golf course. <br />Central Florida Top Brewer event sponsored by Friends of the Park will be held in Lake <br />Concord Park on Saturday, May 19` from 1-5 p.m. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />• Thanked everyone who works so hard to organize the City's great events. <br />• Was pleasantly surprised about the beautiful mural along State Road 436 in the area of the <br />IHOP restaurant. <br />• Asked for clarification about parking on the street in residential areas and was advised by Mr. <br />Newlon that it would be a law enforcement question depending on where the vehicles were <br />parked. He gave a few examples, but advised that Police Department Command staff would <br />be the best to clarify should she or any resident have a question about whether something was <br />or was not allowed. <br />• Thanked Code Enforcement staff for meeting with the local homeowners' associations to <br />provide information and keep communication open. <br />
