CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 14, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 18 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Chief Planner recommended adoption of Ordinance 18- <br />1479 on second reading. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />questions regarding Ordinance 18-1479. Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public participation. The <br />following individuals came forward to address Ordinance 18-1479: <br />Tara Tedrow, Esquire, of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, 215 N Eola Drive, <br />Orlando advised she was present on behalf of the applicant and was available for questions <br />should the Commission have any relating to either Ordinance 18-1479 or Ordinance 18-1480 <br />which would be considered as the next agenda item. She expressed appreciation to staff and <br />the City Manager for their time in reviewing this project. <br />Mr. Rusty Fenimore, 237 Antler Court, unincorporated Seminole County, expressed <br />concerns on behalf of the Deer Run Property Owners' Association regarding the density <br />allowed by the proposed land use designation, citing parking, traffic and safety issues in the <br />school area. He requested that the City Commission consider reducing the proposed density <br />by possibly one-third to help address some of those concerns. <br />No one else came forward to address Ordinance 18-1479. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative <br />to Ordinance 18-1479. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adopt Ordinance 18-1479 on second and <br />final reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />C. Second Reading of Ordinance 18-1480 — Establishing a Zoning Designation for <br />Properties Located on Red Bug Lake Road (ZB 18-01) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 18-1480 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE IV, SECTION 2- <br />4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; ESTABLISHING THE ZONING <br />CLASSIFICATION OF CITY OF CASSELBERRY RMF -13 (MEDIUM DENSITY <br />MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL) FROM THE SEMINOLE COUNTY ZONING OF R -3A AND A- <br />1 FOR THE NEWLY ANNEXED PARCELS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE <br />AND CHANGING THE ZONING OF ONE PARCEL FROM CITY OF CASSELBERRY R-9 TO <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY RMF -13, ALL PARCELS GENERALLY LOCATED ALONG RED <br />BUG LAKE ROAD; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 18-1480 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, May 3, 2018. <br />
