CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 11, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 20 of 22 <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />questions regarding Ordinance 18-1482. Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public participation. No one <br />came forward to address Ordinance 18-1482. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance <br />18-1482. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to adopt Ordinance 18-1482 on second and <br />final reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />A. Cooperative Purchase of Emergency Generators and Bypass Pumps for Lift <br />Stations <br />Staff Presentation: Water Resources Manager Tara Lamoureux gave an overview of this item which was <br />a request for the City Commission to approve the purchase of emergency generators from Tradewinds <br />Power Corp. and bypass pumps from Thompson Pumps for lift stations for a total amount of $1,188,950 <br />utilizing the Florida Sheriffs Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract Bid Award #FSA17- <br />VEH15.0 — Cab & Chassis Trucks & Other Fleet Equipment (Ref: PBA -2018-0351). In response to <br />questions from the Commission, Ms. Lamoureux advised that due to other cities across the state also <br />preparing for storm season there may be delays in delivery of the new equipment, and staff would research <br />the cost of purchasing theft prevention measures for the generators. <br />Budget Impact: Funding for this purchase is contingent upon approval of Budget Amendment #18-027 <br />presented on this agenda as a separate item. Following approval, funding will be made available in the <br />Water & Sewer System Fund Equipment Other account #401-0752.535.67-35 in the amount of $914,348 <br />and Improvements Other account #401-0752-535.63-24 in the amount of $274,602. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval for the <br />cooperative purchase of emergency generators from Tradewinds Power Corp in the amount of $976,576 <br />and bypass pumps from Thompson Pumps in the amount of $212,374 for lift stations for the total amount <br />of $1,188,950.00 utilizing the Florida Sheriffs Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract Bid <br />Award #FSA17-VEH15.0 — Cab & Chassis Trucks & Other Fleet Equipment. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address this item. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the cooperative purchase of <br />emergency generators from Tradewinds Power Corp in the amount of <br />$976,576 and bypass pumps from Thompson Pumps in the amount of <br />$212,374 for lift stations for the total amount of $1,188,950.00 utilizing the <br />Florida Sheriffs Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract Bid <br />Award #FSA17-VEH15.0 — Cab & Chassis Trucks & Other Fleet Equipment, <br />as presented.
