CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 11, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 21 of 22 <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />Mayor Glancy recognized former City of Sanford Mayor Brady Lessard who was in the audience. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />Thanked and congratulated all staff who worked to obtain the NRCS (Natural Resources <br />Conservation Service) federal grant funds for the erosion control improvements within the <br />Gee Creek and Howell Creek basins. <br />Announced there would be a Special City Commission meeting on Monday, June 18, 2018 <br />at 5:00 p.m. for discussion on whether to consider relocating the Police Department to a <br />different site. <br />Announced that the Budget Workshop would be held on Monday, July 9, 2018. <br />Commissioner Hufford requested that Mr. Newlon look into a way to provide information to the citizens <br />about the NRCS grant, stating he felt it was important for them to know about those types of things. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />• Announced to the public that the qualifying period for City Commission Seats, 1, 2 and 3 was <br />held from Noon, May 21 through Noon, May 25, 2018. The following candidates were <br />qualified by the City Clerk: <br />City Commission Seat 1: Commissioner Anthony Aramendia (incumbent) <br />Mr. Neil Landgrebe <br />City Commission Seat 2: Vice Mayor Andrew Meadows (unopposed) <br />City Commission Seat 3: Mr. Mark Busch <br />Mr. Larry Littrell <br />Ms. Laura Worrell <br />The City Election will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018. <br />
