Reorganization of Finance Department Procurement Division and Related Budget Amendment #18-020 Introduction: Consideration to reorganize the Purchasing Division in the Finance Department by increasing the Purchasing Division personnel by one Procurement Specialist position and approval of related Budget Amendment #18-020 are requested. Budget Impact: Approval of this agenda item will increase General Fund Finance/Purchasing various accounts approximately $30,000 for the remainder of FY 2018 per Budget Amendment #18-020. BA #18-020 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to increase the Procurement Division personnel by one Procurement Specialist position. The Procurement Division is responsible for all purchasing functions, contracts, bids, requests for proposal, and supervision of all City Inventory transactions. This budget amendment will provide salary and benefits for the remaining 5 months of FY 2018.
