CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of February 12, 2018 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 11 of 12 <br />Reminded the Commissioners of the following upcoming events: <br />State of the County Luncheon, Thursday, February 15t" at 11:30 a.m. at the <br />Marriott in Lake Mary <br />1St Annual Mardi Gras Music Festival at Lake Concord Park, Saturday, February <br />17t11 from 5-9 p.m. <br />Pre -Budget Planning Workshop, Monday, February 19t1i at 10:00 a.m, in the Police <br />Department Multi -Purpose Room <br />® Reported he had very much enjoyed the Seminole Cultural Arts Council event on Saturday, <br />February IOtl' at which the City of Casselberry was recognized for its contribution to the <br />arts by being presented with the heART fog• the ARTSAward. <br />® Thanked the City Commission and staff for all they do to bring positive recognition to the <br />City of Casselberry. <br />Advised that Senate Bill 750 proposing to prohibit cities from responding to a public <br />records request by seeking a declaratory judgment action was scheduled to be heard by the Senate Judiciary <br />Committee on Tuesday, February 13t" <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Thanked all those who were able to attend the Seminole Cultural Arts Council event on <br />Saturday, February 10' at which the City was presented the heART for the ARTS Award. He <br />thanked City staff and the City Commission for their dedication in moving the City forward <br />and making it known as an arts and culture community in Seminole County. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />Stated that she had also attended the Seminole Cultural Arts Council event on Saturday, <br />February 10"' and it had made her proud to be a Commissioner for the City of Casselberry. She <br />also extended appreciation to staff for all they do. <br />
