CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 30, 2017 — Special Meeting <br />Page 19 of 23 <br />AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM INDUSTRIAL TO <br />COMMERCIAL FOR THE PARCEL LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF ANCHOR ROAD AND <br />WEST MELODY LANE, AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 17-1470 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, October 19, 2017. <br />Staff Presentation: Planner Dean Fathelbab gave a brief overview of Ordinance 17-1470, explaining that <br />the purpose of the ordinance was to amend the Future Land Use Map designation for the property located <br />at 380 West Melody Lane from City of Casselberry "I" (Industrial) to City of Casselberry "C" <br />(Commercial). He advised that no changes had been made to Ordinance 17-1470 since approval by the <br />City Commission on first reading at its September 25, 2017 regular meeting. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />questions regarding Ordinance 17-1470. Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public participation. No one <br />came forward to address Ordinance 17-1470. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance <br />17-1470. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended adoption <br />of Ordinance 17-1470 on second reading. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to adopt Ordinance 17-1470 on second and <br />final reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />C.
