CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of February 13, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 14 <br />Discussion: Discussion continued regarding many of the issues discussed earlier, in addition to lack of <br />parking or bathroom facilities at the proposed location for the Skate Art elements; compatibility of the site with <br />the City's vision; possibility of involving the community in painting of the Skate Art should it be installed; <br />funding options; need for citizen input; probability of skateboard related claims or lawsuits based on <br />occurrences in other jurisdictions; and the feasibility of investing time and funds investigate the possibility of a <br />Skate Art element on the Talisman Trail prior to completion of the Parks Master Plan and review of the related <br />citizen survey. <br />CONSENSUS: The City Commission agreed by consensus to defer further consideration of <br />possible inclusion of a skate art element on the Talisman Trail until May of <br />2017 after having the opportunity to review the Parks Master Plan and related <br />survey. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />1. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, expressed a desire to see historic <br />designations throughout the City, including on the golf course and some of the buildings in <br />the City that retain some of the original architectural elements that were historically <br />significant. <br />No one else came forward. <br />• Advised he would be working with Sara Brady on researching the feasibility of a new City logo, and <br />hoped to bring information to the Commission for discussion and feedback at a workshop in the near <br />future. <br />• Reported that the Art and Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar event had moved back to Lake <br />Concord Park on Friday February 10, 2017 and had been a successful event even with some parking <br />challenges. <br />No report. <br />
