Sec. 86-161. - Definitions. <br />The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this Article, shall have the <br />meanings ascribed to them in this Section, except where the context clearly indicates a <br />different meaning: <br />Commercial includes classical commercial properties and establishments served by the <br />municipal water system. <br />Equivalent residential unit and ERU mean equal to the average daily flow of a single- <br />family residence which is 250 gpd for water service. <br />Multifamily means a multiple dwelling unit of two or more units, served by one meter <br />common to the complex, served by the municipal water system. <br />Residential includes the classical individually metered single-family residential dwelling, <br />but also includes any dwelling unit which is individually metered, irrespective of the fact <br />that it may be included within a multiple -unit complex, served by the municipal water <br />system. <br />Sec. 86-221. - Metered service required. <br />(a) All City water customers shall be required to have metered service and such fire <br />protection service as shall be required in this Article, and to pay for the amount of water <br />consumed in accordance with rates established in Division 2 of this Article. No two or <br />more consumers in separate buildings or dwellings shall be permitted to use the same <br />meter, and no free water shall be furnished to any consumer. <br />(b) Where the owner of a building containing more than one store, dwelling or unit <br />desires that separate meters be installed for each separate store, dwelling or unit, the <br />additional meters shall be installed upon the payment in advance by the owner of the <br />charge for additional meters, plus an additional water use or sewer use system <br />development charge ., ee, if required. <br />Sec. 86-279. - Reclaimed water system charges and fees. <br />(a) Charges and fees. Reclaimed water system development charges and fees shall <br />be established by the Commission in accordance with Section 86-186. <br />(b) As an incentive to customers within an area of planned reuse expansion, and to <br />allow the City to make as many taps as possible during construction, all taps for three - <br />Page 2 <br />
