CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 25, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of 15 <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the Period 08/01/2017 through 08/31/2017 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the Period 08/01/2017 through 08/31/17 was <br />included in the agenda packet and was for the purpose of advising the Commission of transactions during the <br />report period in which a minor contract was executed by staff under authority delegated by the City <br />Commission. <br />® Reminded everyone of the Latin Jazz and Art Festival on Saturday, September 30, 2017 featuring <br />Arturo Sandoval. <br />Thanked staff for their continued hard work on Hurricane Irma recovery efforts. <br />Reminded the Commission there would not be another Commission meeting until Monday, October <br />30, 2017 and that a code enforcement workshop and a joint meeting with the Parks & Recreation <br />Advisory Board were anticipated to be scheduled in the near future. <br />® Advised that the Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use published a bi- <br />weekly report on its website showing the number of medical marijuana treatment centers which have <br />been approved in case anyone wished to see the most up to date information. She also clarified that <br />the marijuana sold at the dispensing facilities would be all types and not justthe low THC marijuana. <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows - Seat No. 2: <br />® Thanked staff for all their hard work relating to Hurricane Irma issues, and specifically their proactive <br />approach to recognizing the issues and making the Gee Creek emergency repairs over the past few <br />months preventing what could have been a major road collapse because of the storm. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon — Seat No. 3: <br />® Also thanked and commended staff on their hurricane recovery efforts, noting that she was happy to <br />see debris collection happening throughout the City. <br />® Wished a Happy New Year to everyone (Jewish Year 5778). <br />
