Casselberry Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program Changes for FY 2018
Staff Presentation: Planner Dean Fathelbab explained that currently there was a single application for the
Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program established in 2013 which had been expanded with Commission
approval to include three types of grants. He noted that this had proven to be cumbersome and confusing for
both applicants and accounting staff, so it was being proposed that the single application be divided into three
separate applications, one for each type of grant.
Budget Impact: The grant program is limited to $50,000 overall which has been provided within the FY
2018 adopted operating budget. There is no additional impact to the City budget brought by this agenda item.
Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of
Casselberry's Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program Applications for FY 2017-2018.
Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the CasselbertyNeighborhood Improvement Grant
Program Changes for FY 2018.
MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve the Casselberry Neighborhood
Improvement Grant Program application changes for FY 2017-2015, as
presented.
