CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 25, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 15 of 15 <br />Commended staff for all the impressive ads that had been posted for the upcoming Arturo Sandoval <br />concert. <br />Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />® Also extended kudos to staff for continuing to keep up with the challenge of the hurricane recovery <br />efforts. <br />® Shared that be had received a complaint about a jet skier on Queens Mirror Lake who was causing a <br />wake, which in turn was eroding the lakefront due to the high water conditions. He stated that the <br />Police had handled the situation, but wondered whether some sort of regulation for times of high water <br />levels should be considered in the future and possibly included in the City's preparedness planning. <br />Ms. Reischmann reminded the Commission that there was a statute prohibiting regulations targeted at <br />jet skis, so anything like that would have to be inclusive of any motorized water vehicle. <br />® Reminded everyone of the Swing "Fore" the Arts Golf Tournament on Friday, September 29t1' <br />® Reported he had attended the most recent LYNX public meeting on September 19th which was held in <br />the City Commission Chambers, but was disappointed in the turnout. <br />® Congratulated Andy Brooks for his appointment to Human Resources and Risk Management Director. <br />Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia — Seat No. 1: <br />Also expressed appreciation to staff for their debris pickup and hurricane recovery efforts, noting he <br />had seen a lot of progress and had received compliments on the work being done. <br />Added his congratulations to Andy Brooks on his appointment. <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />® Echoed the earlier comments on how hard staff was working on the hurricane recovery and expressed <br />appreciation for all their efforts. <br />® Congratulated Andy Brooks on his appointment as Human Resources and Risk Management Director. <br />There being no further business, Mayor Glancy adjourned the meeting at 6:05 p.m. <br />DATE MINUTES APPROVED BY CITY COMMISSION: <br />ATTEST: <br />Donna G.
