Planning & Zoning Commission/
Local Planning Agency
June 14, 2017
Page 4
the staff report dated June 14, 2017, and the nine (9) conditions of approval outlined in the staff report. A brief
discussion ensued regarding the previous tenant at the site.
Mr. Henson asked the applicant to come forward. Ms. Charlene Glancy, 210 NE Triplet Drive, Casselberry,
Florida came forward. In response to the Commission's question, Ms. Glancy stated she chose the location because
it was located in Casselberry, the view of the lake and the visibility and high traffic counts on US Highway 17/92. In
response to the Commission's question, Ms. Glancy said the main revenue source would be an event site for
wedding receptions, parties etc.
Mr. Henson asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to,
the request. No one came forward.
Mr. Henson asked for a motion to address CU 17-09. Mr. Bryan made a motion that the Planning and
Zoning Commission approve CU 17-09 to allow on-site consumption of beer and wine, 2COP, in conjunction with the
operation of an events venue located at 3950 South U.S. Highway 17-92, Suite 2000 based on the findings of fact
and conclusions of the staff report dated June 14, 2017, and the nine (9) conditions of approval outlined in the staff
report including Exhibits A — C. Ms. Campbell seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
Eighth Item of Business: CU 17-11: 1555 SR 436, Suite 1171 and 1181. Parcel ID 33-21.30-300-007A-0000
Mr. Dean Fathelbab, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated June 14, 2017,
and a PowerPoint presentation to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy of the
PowerPoint presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. Fathelbab made a correction to the
compliance with applicable laws and ordinances portion of the PowerPoint presentation stating that the word "liquor"
should be deleted.
Mr. Fathelbab said staff recommends the Planning and Zoning Commission approve CU 17-11 to allow on-
site consumption of beer and wine, 2COP, in conjunction with the operation of the restaurant at 1555 State Road
436, Suite 1171 and 1181.
