Lakes Management Advisory Board Appointment MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to appoint Mr. Allessandro Garabaghi as a member of the Lakes Management Advisory Board for the remainder of the unexpired term caused by the resignation of Mr. Alan Moore, term effective to January 31, 2018. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. 13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of decorum. The following individual came forward: Mr. Spencer Brown, 2702 Oak Lane, stated that his employer, Mr. David Vandestreek, who resides at 2704 Oak Lane, had purchased a vacant lot located at 2818 Lakeview Drive and utilized the property for overnight storage of vehicles used in his business Vandestreek Cabinetry. Mr. Vandestreek presented a packet of information containing photographs and maps to the City Clerk for distribution to the Commissioners and Mr. Brown explained that they had made significant improvements to the property; however, the property was included in the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) district and overnight parking was not permitted. He stated that he and Mr. Vandestreek were requesting that the City consider either amending the CRA requirements to permit overnight parking in that area, or delete that location from the CRA district altogether. 14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT No report. 15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT Reminded the Commissioners that there were a number of pending bills in the Legislature that were detrimental to local governments and would preempt Home Rule, and urged everyone to make contact with legislators about those issues. 16.
