CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of March 27, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 12 <br />D. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported she had attended a meeting of the Mayors/Managers Group on Tuesday, March 21, <br />2017 and Mr. Alan Harris, Emergency Manager for the Seminole County Office of Emergency Management <br />gave a presentation on the need for updates to the Interlocal Agreement with the cities and also updates to <br />county technology, including the possibility of providing a Soft Panic Button cell phone application for use in <br />school classrooms for communication during emergency situations. <br />E. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County(CALNO) Report <br />Vice Mayor Aramendia reported the group had met on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the City of Lake Mary <br />and the presentation had been on the "Beyond the I-4 Ultimate" program. He added that during discussions, <br />Seminole County Commissioner Lee Constantine had advised that the County had passed a very strict <br />ordinance relating to chemicals for lawns and he was willing to assist the City if it desired to implement a <br />similar ordinance. Mr. Newlon advised the Commission that this was an ordinance designed to lessen the <br />environmental impact of fertilizers and Deputy Public Works Director/City Engineer Kelly Brock had spoken <br />with the Commission about the issue previously. He added that staff was currently working to develop an <br />ordinance to bring to the Commission for consideration. <br />F.
